Evander ‘The Real Deal’ Holyfield earned upwards of $200 million during his prolific boxing career. However, a string of bad investments led to him falling on hard times. It all started with the fall of his very own record label, Real Deal Records. The demise of Real Deal Records cost him upwards of $3 million dollars.

A botched restaurant business cost Holyfield in the region of $10 million. In 2008, he owed more than $13 million in mortgage payments and was evicted him from his 109-room Atlanta mansion. Rick Ross then bought the mansion for a little over $5 million from the four-time world champion.

In addition to all this, Holyfield also had to pay child support for 11 children from six different women. All this expenditure and hardly any income put a huge strain on his net worth.

“It is hard to fall down, and I kind of feel like everything is too late. When you don’t have others looking out for you, everybody’s taking something for themselves.”

With many bizarre purchases during his career, including a tiger and golden teeth. Tyson spent lavishly and always traveled in style.
