If things happen, per Lennox Lewis’s claims, Mike Tyson can soon earn a rematch against his former nemesis ‘Lion’ in February 2022. Tyson staged a staggering return to action against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020, paving the way for several veterans to re-embrace the boxing action. It also evoked umpteen potential matchups for Mike Tyson himself.

Several combatants and even social media stars expressed interest in meeting the ‘Iron’ Mike inside the ring. From Shannon Briggs, Evander Holyfield, to Logan Paul, the list went too long. But Tyson’s former trainer Justin Fortune believes Lennox Lewis will be the most appropriate opponent for Tyson, amongst everyone.

In a chat with ES News, Fortune said, “Well, I have got more faith in [Lennox] Lewis controlling himself than Mike [Tyson], I shouldn’t say so.”

“They both know the game. I think they will do it. Listen. Their exhibition is better than any other fight out there. Because the heavyweight division sucks.”

Justin Fortune faced Lennox Lewis back in 1995 and learned about Lion’s power in the hardest possible way. Lewis stopped him in style and went on a tear. Mike Tyson displayed a similar prowess in his journey and set a glorious run. Seven years later, Lewis and Tyson locked horns in one of the most infamous scraps of heavyweight boxing’s history.

After a heated build-up filled with mutual hatred, Lewis outworked Tyson in the in-ring affair. After battering each other for a brief period, Lewis took charge of all the action and stopped Mike Tyson in the eighth round. 20 years since then, Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis 2 as an exhibition shall be an exciting treat to the fight fans.

55-year-old Tyson hasn’t confirmed anything yet regarding his return. He had flirted with the chances of re-appearing in exhibitions after facing Roy Jones Jr. A possible trilogy between him and Evander Holyfield was also looking valid to happen.
