Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is a true family man. Moreover, the former champ has been very open about his love for his wife. However, Tyson recently surprised boxing fans by calling Bill Maher a genius for staying unmarried.

Tyson was hosting his ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson‘ with co-host Sebastian Joseph Day. And comedian Bill Maher was the guest for the episode. The trio was talking about evolving as human beings. In conversation, Tyson said, “We never stop being boys. That’s what I’ve learned. I’m 56. We never stop being boys.”

Maher nodded in agreement, saying, “I in my life have tried very hard to maintain my, as much of my boyhood as I can. Without the toxic part, you know, without the stupid part. But, you know, for example, having never gotten married, I think is the best way.”

Tyson was amazed by Maher’s ideology. He said, “I think you are a f*cking genius.”

However, Tyson clarified by saying that he’d die for his wife, but he still considers Maher a genius in that aspect.

Tyson’s first marriage was to actress Robin Givens on February 7, 1988. However, the relationship was a tumultuous affair and ended on February 14, 1989.

He later married Monica Turner on April 19, 1997. But this marriage also ended in a divorce on January 14, 2003. In fact, Turner accused Tyson of adultery while ending the relationship.

Tyson is currently married to Lakiha “Kiki” Spicer, who he married on June 6, 2009. Moreover, the couple tied the knot at the iconic La Belle Wedding Chapel at the Las Vegas Hilton.
