Mike Tyson did a lot of uncanny stints during his in-ring years as ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’. From decimating his opponents with highlight-reel KOs to pulling off controversial tasks, ‘Iron’ did it all. That said, biting off a piece of Evander Holyfield also falls in that bracket.

In 1997, Tyson vs Holyfield 2 ended abruptly after Tyson planted his teeth in Holyfield’s ear, which caused the fight to stop instantly. Well, almost 25 years later, Tyson has now launched edible gummies based on that incident.

The gummies he launched are ear-shaped with a piece missing, and it reflects the condition of Holyfield’s ear after being bit. Although Tyson has apologized for the stance several times, his latest statement on it was absolutely contrasting to what he had previously said.

Mike Tyson said, “Listen Imma tell you something. This is really funny and I don’t mean it in bad taste. That’s the best thing I ever did, bite his ear.”

Tyson was eventually fined $3 million from his entire purse for the hideous act. He was disqualified from the contest and the fine imposed on him is still the biggest amount ever charged against someone in the sport.

Well, that incident grabbed attention worldwide. Tyson and Holyfield became superstars instantly. Although several people bashed ‘Iron’ for his vicious activity, the heavyweight star roped in massive viewership on his side.

Nevertheless, Tyson has shed light on that wrongdoing on multiple occasions. He claimed how Holyfield was being a good boxer in the ring, which vexed Tyson and urged him to bite his opponent’s ear.

Mike Tyson is now a smart man

Aged 55, Tyson is no longer the vicious, heavyweight knockout artist. On the contrary, he has shown some prominent changes in his personality. However, his boxing drills continue to benefit him to this day. Hence, Mike Tyson, the entrepreneur, channelized the ‘Bite Fight’ into his latest product of edible gummies.

A few months back, it was rumored that Tyson and Holyfield can lock horns once again in an epic trilogy fight. But Evander Holyfield’s return at the age of 58 against Vitor Belfort was horrific. ‘The Real Deal’ suffered a crushing first-round KO and walked out, ending hopes of a third meeting with ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson.
