Subsequently, as the WBA welterweight super champ came to the rescue, the event will go ahead per schedule.

Recently, Mikey Garcia spoke exclusively to FightHype and asserted on ‘Pacman’ taking one more fight this year. He said, “I’ve heard from different people that he was thinking of having two fights this year and retiring.”

“I heard he wanted to do two fights this year. Being that timing for the matchups that he’s fighting in August. Who knows if he’s able to squeeze in another fight before the end of the year,” he said.
