Misfits Boxing 22 is proving to be far from controversy-free. Launched in August 2022 by British YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI, his manager Mams Taylor, and promoters Kalle and Nisse Sauerland, the league was designed to inject new energy into boxing by blending celebrity and influencer matchups with traditional bouts, thereby creating an entertainment-driven spectacle aimed at younger audiences.
However, today inside Manchester Arena, tensions flared. Misfits Boxing 22 kicked off at noon with the headliner between Darren Till and Luke Rockhold, with prelims now wrapped up and the main card currently underway. Notably, the heavyweight clash between Chase DeMoor and Natan Marcon quickly grabbed attention, sparking debate.
In the second round at 0:53, DeMoor landed a decisive uppercut that split Marcon’s lip, which consequently forced the doctor and officials to stop the fight and award a TKO victory. Despite this, Marcon voiced his disagreement with the stoppage. Meanwhile, MF & DAZN X social handles shared the unfolding drama with the caption: “CRAZY BACKSTAGE FIGHT GOING ON!! 😱 Natan Marcon very UPSET with the decision😬”

The feud between DeMoor and Marcon had been simmering throughout fight week, sparked by a tense faceoff during which Marcon slapped an egg on DeMoor’s head in front of fans. Today, with the Manchester Arena packed to capacity, DeMoor finally settled the score by retaining his title.

Yet the post-fight chaos has reignited concerns over security at boxing events, an issue brought into focus earlier this week when headline fighter Darren Till accidentally struck a security guard in a moment of anger. The incidents underscore ongoing challenges in managing high-stakes, celebrity-driven bouts where tensions can escalate rapidly.
Darren Till offers public apology after incident with security guard during Rockhold faceoff
Darren Till’s boxing career marks a new chapter for the 30-year-old fighter. After a difficult run in the UFC, where he went 1-5 in his last six bouts, Dana White and the promotion’s matchmakers ultimately released him. Pivoting to boxing, Till has since carved out a name for himself in high-profile, lucrative fights. Now 3-0 in the sport, he enjoys a celebrity lifestyle filled with luxury cars and high-end watches, showing no regrets about leaving MMA behind.
Despite his financial and professional success, one goal still eludes him: a championship belt. Darren Till now, Fully focuses on claiming the inaugural MFB Bridgerweight title at Misfits Boxing 22. Across from him, his former UFC middleweight peer Luke Rockhold cranks up the intensity of the high-stakes matchup.
Tensions boiled over earlier this week during their faceoff, when ‘The Gorilla’ tried to kick Rockhold but accidentally hit a security guard. The guard winced in pain, prompting eight security members to intervene and break up the scuffle.

Later, during an appearance on The Stamping Ground, Till reflected on the incident. After reviewing the footage, he accepted responsibility and offered a public apology via social media. “I kicked him, did I? Oh my God, I’m so sorry. I blacked out. The poor guy just got properly shaky. I didn’t even realize—I was just focused on Luke and kept moving forward. Fair play to the security, they had to step in. I apologize, I’m sorry. I blacked out in the moment. Sorry, guys—my apologies.”
