The heavyweight division includes towering giants with phenomenal talent and charismatic personalities. However, the fighters do not get in the ring as frequently as the fans would demand. Not to mention, the fans often express their frustration over boxers not stepping into the ring to face the best amongst the best. Instead, they play safe and protect their prestige by fighting lesser opponents, which leaves the boxing world with complaints.

Jared Anderson “respects” heavyweight boxers for being inactive

There are multiple reasons behind boxers not getting in the ring as often against formidable opponents. However, Anderson believes financial consideration is the primary reason. In an interview with @SkySportsBoxing, Anderson weighed in on the same and stated, “If they were all competitors like they say and they all think they are the best they would fight but they not so to me I say money and greed.”

Moreover, despite having this opinion, he does not lose any respect for those competitors and instead even respects them further for sticking up for their cause. He added, “If you have my point of view on this fight game and boxing, by all means I respect you. Sitting on your hands because you are not getting paid right then by all means. Nothing but respect for that because you know what you worth.”  Anderson is speaking from a place of being a boxer himself and can empathize with other fighters. However, in the same interview, he reveals not having the “will” to prove he is better than any man.

Anderson is a young prospect with a lot of potential. That being said, he does not consider himself to be better than any boxer and reveals a lack of will to prove that he is the best. Reflecting on the same, he states, “To me personally, I have no will to prove that I am better than any man because I am better than nobody. I just think, I was better that night.” He adds, “I think anybody has the capability to doing something that night. It just depends on how the cards fall for you that night.”
