Months After Jamie Foxx’s ‘Heart Shattering’ Tribute, Yaya Mayweather Pens Down Emotional Message to Floyd Mayweather’s Late Close Aid

This year, the Mayweather family found themselves at the receiving end of one of the most saddening news anyone can hear. The family was in disbelief when they heard about the passing of Floyd Mayweather’s assistant and a member of TMT, Marikit Laurico. Since her passing, the family has been in agony.

And, like any other loss, this is not something the Mayweathers can cope easily from. And the family still reminisces about the moments spent with ‘Kitchie’. The suddenness of her death is not easy to accept for the family. And Mayweather Jr’s daughter will agree with the same as she uploaded a picture on her social media, remembering her.

Along with the picture, Yaya Mayweather took to her Instagram to pen down a message,  giving a glimpse of the strong emotions she still feels towards her even after her passing. Yaya has been quite public about what the loss of Laurico meant to the entire family.

Yaya Mayweather remembers ‘Kitchie’

Mayweather took to her Instagram story and uploaded a picture of Kitchie to remember her months after her death. And she further shared a message to express the pain the death has caused her and what it took from her and the Mayweather family.

Yaya wrote, “Been thinking about you a lot lately, I miss you (it’s just not the same without you).”

It seems like even though Kitchie used to work for Floyd Mayweather, she was treated like family.

Mayweather Jr himself didn’t express his views on Kitchie’s loss for a long time. And his silence gives a hint about the magnitude of this loss to the family. Moreover, many eminent personalities in the boxing world came to mourn the loss and showed their support for the Mayweather family, including Jamie Foxx, who showed his sorrow for the loss.

Mayweather Jr is not the one who is known for his ability to stay silent. He is very outspoken. But, after the death of an important person in his life, Mayweather Jr did not make any public announcements for a long time. And stayed away from any public discourse related to the death of Kitchie.

But, weeks after her death, Mayweather Jr changed his Instagram picture to a picture of Kitchie as a tribute to her. Kitchie’s death has been really hard for the Mayweathers to deal with. But, knowing their fighting spirit, they push through every day, keeping Kitchie in their mind.
