When MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, signed with the Riyadh Season, little did he know that expanding his brand to the Kingdom could come at a price he had to pay in the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford card. The story, however, started back in 2022. When Mike Tyson’s fight against Jake Paul was just a thought, Tyson appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. The curious host asked Tyson about possibly going against other YouTubers like Mr. Beast. His reaction? It’s a big possibility. I might be the YouTube champion.” Later, he re-ignited the talks when MrBeast attended the Full Send podcast and Tyson commented, “See you soon, Mr. Beast.” Fast forward to Las Vegas’ event tonight, and let’s just say MrBeast had it coming.

Posting a video on his Instagram page, MrBeast stood alongside Mike Tyson and Turki Alalshikh in a suite in the Allegiant Stadium, venue for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight. The YouTuber started, “Mike Tyson is about to punch me because, thanks to Riyadh season, Canelo and Crawford’s about to happen. It literally starts within an hour, so afterwards, you need to go and watch it, and to raise awareness, I’m going to take a punch from Mike Tyson.” He hesitantly looked at Tyson and said, “Whenever you’re ready.”

Without taking a second, Iron Mike yelled, “Boom!” as he went for a left hook to MrBeast’s abdomen. The latter fell to the floor in ‘visible’ pain, holding himself to catch a breath before trying to stand up and promote the card saying, “The fight’s on Netflix!” Of course, it was just a skit, and everyone was laughing at MrBeast’s acting skills.

But, well, at least he was ready to take a punch from one of the greatest ever in the sport just for some spicy content for Riyadh season. Later, Tyson and Alalshikh also acted to show concern for the YouTuber and get him to his feet. See for yourself:

The fight, though, kicked off with a solid 10-round battle between Mohammed Alakel and Travis Crawford. In his first 10-round fight, Alakel impressed the judges and secured a unanimous decision victory. Mike Tyson, who is set to fight retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition fight in 2026, had previously predicted that, despite Terence Crawford’s edge over Canelo Alvarez in terms of pure skill, Canelo’s power would prove too much for the Nebraska native.

But clearly, he had to fulfill what the fans wanted to see with MrBeast. While many enjoyed what they saw, some raised concerns for the YouTuber, even if in a humorous tone.

Fans raise concern for a ‘hurt’ MrBeast

As mentioned before, everyone has been wanting to see Mike Tyson go against MrBeast for some time now. Still, when it actually happened, even if as a play for some content, the YouTuber’s large fan base got immediately worried. One user wrote, “Hope you are ok 😅.” While the punch might have been painful, it’s unlikely that it did any real damage. Another user felt the punch was way too hard as they wrote, “He almost put his eye out.” While MrBeast did fall to the ground, wide-eyed from the punch, it was also clear that he was trying not to give it away. He even hid his face once.

What’s your perspective on:

Is MrBeast's stunt with Tyson a bold move or just reckless entertainment?

Have an interesting take?

Someone else felt Tyson didn’t even put in his entire strength behind the punch, claiming, “0.0005% power there, he held back for safety 😂.” Had Tyson punched with his entire strength, the YouTuber may really have needed a visit to the hospital. But still, one fan commented, “Take him to the hospital immediately.” It’s unclear whether Mr. Beast had to be taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, another user even prescribed a test. The user wrote, “Jimmy go get xray’d now.” He might need more than just an X-ray if Mike Tyson punched him at his full power.

It appears Mr. Beast made a huge mistake by letting Mike Tyson punch him. At least, the fans seem to think so. But did you think the YouTuber took an arrow to his head just to promote the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford card?
