However, Amira Ali’s post received mixed reactions. Some call out the young girl for celebrating the holiday with Christian connections. In the comment section, they comment that her grandfather, who was a social activist and the most famous boxer out there, would stand up for the atrocities that are being committed daily instead of dressing up and posting them on social media. Quite the hatred over such a harmless thing, but that’s the internet. However, others are impressed by Amira’s skill.

Muhammad Ali’s legacy

Muhammad Ali, who unfortunately passed away in June 2016 at the age of 74, left a lasting legacy not only in the boxing arena but also as a symbol of faith, bravery, and social accountability. Additionally, his plea for empathy and his steadfast commitment to his beliefs continue to motivate various generations, including the Ali family. There is no doubt that Ali’s legacy carries forward his work. His daughter, Rasheda Ali, is a social activist. Laila Ali is a professional boxer in her own right. And more recently, Rasheda’s son, Nico Ali Walsh, has made his pro debut. The Ali family undoubtedly works hard to carry on their patriarch’s legacy.

During the 1960s, Muhammad Ali, originally known as Cassius Clay and hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, embraced the Islamic faith. He dedicated himself wholeheartedly to its teachings. Ali actively encouraged influential figures in the political realm to broaden their knowledge of Islam. He made it clear that those he referred to as misguided murderers distorted the true essence of the religion.

Unquestionably the Ali clan has been embracing all cultures and believes in inclusivity. After all, that is basically what ‘the Greatest stood up and fought for. Inclusion and religious freedom for all.
