Muhammad Ali’s Daughter Congratulates 6-Time Olympic Medalist for Finally Achieving Amazing Feat ‘30 Years in the Making’

Muhammad Ali‘s daughter recently posted a story about the six-time Olympic medalist, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who has achieved what was in the works for almost 30 years now. And finally, it’s out for the public to see. Now, Laila Ali herself is taken to be the best female boxer by many boxing fans. She has a flawless record and never lost a fight in her boxing career. Laila Ali is currently retired and has written a book about her struggles, and experiences throughout her life and career. It is an autobiographical novel named Reach!: Finding Strength, Spirit, and Personal Power.

Joyner-Kersee is also enlisted among the best heptathlon and long jump athletes around the world. She recently made an Instagram post about her prideful achievement, and notably, this is her third post on her private Instagram account. Her last post was made back in 2019, and notably, her legacy isn’t fazed by her inactivity on social media. Regardless, she still has over 22k following her on Instagram.

The six-time Olympic medalist has come out with her all-new self-authored children’s book. It goes by the name Running for the Gold: Connecting Kids to Dreams. Jackie Joyner-Kersee made a post about the book. She also told her fans how it took her 30 years to write this work of literature but it has finally been penned down on paper.

All the fans showed their excitement for this book and expressed their reactions in the comments section of the Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Laila Ali shared her post on her Instagram story and congratulated Kersee on such a great achievement. She expressed her appreciation by using emoticons in front of her tagged username. Laila Ali used three emojis to express her feelings, a raising hands emoji, red heart emoji, and a party popper emoji. She wrote, “@jjoynerkersee 🙌❤️🎉“.

Well, to point out, Ali has a similar list of achievements as Joyner-Kersee. But there has always been one thing in Kersee’s life, which will now always remain an unfulfilled wish of Laila Ali.

Recently, the former UFC competitor Chael Sonnen made an appearance on the famous comedian, Andrew Schulz‘s podcast, Flagrant. There, he talked about how he got the chance to interview the daughter of Muhammad Ali. And he further went on to talk about how Laila Ali always wanted to compete in the Olympics as she did not feel she was being tested to her limits.

Sonnen told the team of Flagrant that Ali’s promoter was grabbing random girls from the bar and making her fight with them. All the while, she was training as her father taught her to. So she never got that sense of achievement after beating her opponents. But if she would have competed in the Olympics, it’d have proved her greatness and helped her achieve self-fulfillment.

So, it is safe to say that Laila Ali definitely wanted an Olympic medal just like Joyner-Kersee did. Nevertheless, nobody can deny her feats in women’s boxing as she will always be ranked among the best female boxers of all time.
