Laila Ali steps up against human trafficking

In an Instagram post, the former champ stated that no matter what the time of the year it was, everyone deserved a safe space to stay. However, she added that this could not be possible until the issue of human trafficking has been solved in our society.

No matter what time of the year everyone deserves a safe space free of violence and exploitation. Now airports are a common place for human trafficking which happens every single day in communities across the country” she said.

Moreover, she requested the people traveling this holiday season to stay aware of their surroundings. She also went on to give out a helpline number for those who might be victims of harsh situations.
