During the interview, King had a questionnaire section planned. She was asked a host of questions including the things on her bucket list and the best compliment she received. King then went on to ask her about her craziest fan encounter.

Laila Ali, on the other hand, pondered for a moment before answering. She said, “Oh gosh. There’s so many. People are interesting, like when you meet them on the street. But I’ve had someone challenge me to a fight before. Which was pretty interesting. But I laugh it off you know. But you’re just like, you’re a little crazy there.”

King then asked her if it was a woman who challenged her. But, much to his surprise, she mentioned that a man wished to fight her.

Laila Ali shares the biggest regret in her career

As one of the most decorated fighters in women’s boxing, one might assume that she has accomplished all that she wished for career-wise. However, in a recent episode, UFC star Chael Sonnen opened up about Ali’s biggest regret.

Sonnen had previously asked Ali about the same. And in response, she mentioned that her biggest regret was that she did not take part in the Olympics. Moreover, she also felt that the Olympics was a great way to deduce a fighter’s skill set.
