Muhammad Ali’s Grandson, Nico Ali Walsh, Wins Majority Decision in Third Pro Fight

Nico Ali Walsh once again captivated hardcore boxing lovers’ attention with a dominant win over the fellow undefeated opponent, Reyes Sanchez, on the Lomachenko vs Commey card. Starting off the fight on a high note, Walsh’s hunger to win seemed evident. As a result, he ended up on the winning side via a majority decision.
Walsh used his tall frame to move around and plant some jabs on his opponent. On the other hand, Sanchez looked to clinch him multiple times as he cut the distance to enter his radar. Sanchez had Walsh on the ropes a couple of times, but the Illinois native put the pressure back on his adversary.

In round 2, Walsh tried to march Sanchez down with his double jabs and lead right hand. The pair was in a clinch and both of them missed fight concluding shots. However, Walsh got a blistering opening in the same round and was able to land his power-packed right hooks on Sanchez.
Walsh almost knocked Sanchez down, but the Californian got saved as this exchange took place in the final 10 seconds of the round.
Walsh had a weak defense in round 3 as Sanchez was able to connect a few overhand rights in this round. However, the 21-year-old covered his chin and opted for body shots.
Moving into round 4, Walsh allowed Sanchez to drop his guard and get onto his radar. Subsequently, he connected a couple of good shots on Sanchez’s chin. Despite that, Walsh couldn’t score a knockdown. The lanky Walsh even rectified his defense, with which he restricted the power coming off Sanchez’s hands.

Although round 3 didn’t go as planned for Nico Ali Walsh, he was far from getting dropped by Sanchez’s overhand right. The young gun counter-attacked well, and his ability to make spontaneous adjustments was visible.
