Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is certainly regarded as a legend in the sport of boxing. Along with being the youngest heavyweight champion, Tyson was the face of boxing throughout the late 1980s and early 90s. However, it looks like Iron Mike is not so of the title given to him in the sport.

In an episode of his podcast Hotboxin along with comedians Leslie Jones and Steelo Brim, Tyson and Jones were praised by Brim as legends in their fields. Despite that, Jones was skeptical of being called a legend, as she wasn’t done with her career; “legend mean you done. I ain’t done.”

Moreover, Tyson then stated that the reason Jones didn’t like being referred to as a legend was that she was afraid of the responsibility that came along with it. He also added that he did not want that responsibility either, but revealed that his wife made him take it head-on. “Legend is responsibility, you don’t want that responsibility. I don’t want that responsibility ni**a. I don’t want it either, but my wife keeps beating it in me. Like you know, sometimes you have to do things you know it’s just interesting,” said Tyson.

It looks like even Iron Mike was somewhat afraid of the responsibilities that come along with being an all-time great. However, his wife did make him face these responsibilities, which Iron Mike otherwise would not have faced.

Mike Tyson partners up with Evander Holyfield in his latest business venture

Although Tyson and Holyfield were involved in one of the notorious events in boxing, it looks like the two have put their differences aside. The two have partnered up and will promote Tyson’s “Holy Ears” cannabis gummies. This is a play on the ear bite incident where Tyson bit off Holyfield’s ear during their bout in 1997.

In an interview with FoxNews Tyson revealed that this was his wife’s idea and went on with it when he saw the upside. “I said, ‘That’s outstanding.’ Then, we played with it, we released it, it was an immediate success. It was immediate success, and so I was saying, ‘Why don’t Evander get involved too?’” said Tyson.

The two boxing legends have seemingly buried the hatchet in their rivalry and will now be looking to promote this product together. Moreover, given the boom in the legal cannabis industry, this might turn out to be a beneficial partnership for both individuals.
