NBA star Damian Lillard has just made his own pound-for-pound rankings in boxing, and interestingly, he has shuffled a lot of names compared to the official rankings of ESPN.
After Teofimo Lopez’s win over Vasyl Lomachenko, the pound-for-pound list has been the talk of the town. All the divisions have their respective world champions, and they have constantly proven themselves. That said, it’s hard to pick the best out of them.
However, Lillard has outlined his own rankings, putting several A-listers like Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford, Tyson Fury on his radar. While some of them have also made it to the official ESPN rankings, Lillard has added a few more boxers in his rankings. Here’s a look at it.

Do you think that the Crawford / Spence fight will ever happen? I’m starting to think it’s gonna be just like Mayweather/ Pacquiao, where it happens when they’re out of their primes and nobody really cares

Although all the selected boxers have proved themselves to be the best, Lillard still considers Crawford to be the top-gunner. Despite not appearing in a fight for the whole of 2020, ‘Bud’ is still in his own league. He will fight Kell Brook on November 14 and try to retain his undefeated streak and global rankings.
Meanwhile, most boxers on the list are booked to fight soon. Gervonta Davis will face Leo Santa Cruz on November 1. Oleksandr Usyk has also finalized his heavyweight bout against Dereck Chisora on October 31.
