New Reveal Suggests Mike Tyson May Have Never Fought at His Best

The heavyweight division of the 1990s had some of the best fighters in Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, James Douglas, and more. Out of all, Mike Tyson was the most iconic and flamboyant star to ever grace the ring. He rose to superstardom in no time, pinning himself as one sensational knockout star of all time.

Tyson gave many memorable performances, thus employing his best prowess every time. However, in a chat with Terrell Owens and Sebastian Joseph-Day, Tyson spoke about the injuries he dealt with, and the impact of the same on his fights.

In an Instagram story posted by Hotboxin, Tyson said, “Always my back and my hand. I would do this. I would just get numbed up all during training. Shoot up all during training and then boom. Nothing. Just, just fight, because one thing I’d rather fight hurt but in condition than be healthy and not…”

“I fight hurt and condition its nothing, but I wouldn’t fight if I’m not hurt out of condition.”

Back in his prime, Tyson used to engage in some heavy boxing training regimes. As a result of which, he ended up injuring himself to an extent, but Tyson always looked to show up in his fights.

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, with his ‘Peek-a-boo‘ approach, outboxed countless opponents. Displaying some swift in-ring movements, Tyson carried terrifying power to finish his fights. Also, he often concluded many of his fights via a single power packed punch.
