Boxing legend Mike Tyson and music producer Kanye West might have a lot more in common than meets the eye. The two have garnered a reputation for having big egos. However, a major part of their success can be attributed to this, as they have reached unmatched heights in their respective fields.
West’s self-centered persona was perfectly displayed after he once even made a song titled ‘I Am God’ that saw him come under criticism. Moreover, even Iron Mike shared his opinion about ‘Ye’ calling himself a ‘god’. In an episode of his podcast, Hotboxin Tyson, along with his guest Jason Lee, were discussing Kanye West’s controversial remarks. “You know I remember when Kanye West first came out and said I’m a king, I’m a god I’m this and people destroyed him.” said Lee. However, Tyson supported West claiming that he was indeed a god. “He is” said Tyson

Mike Tyson gives an honest opinion about Kanye West
Moreover, Tyson would then share his honest opinion about West and detail why West’s ego was necessary for him to succeed. “People are funny they know Kanye is great too but the way he conducts himself they hate to believe it. Why would they listen to the corny sh*t Kanye says. It is basically affirmations of what people say for success and it sounds insane because that’s what motherf****s do. But he sounds insane and that sounds of a leader.” He said.
Iron Mike then added that although West had mental health issues, so did every powerful leader. However, normal people cannot fathom the thought of someone ‘god-like’ as they have to worship the ‘god’ above them. “No doubt he got some mental f***ng issues, most leaders do. The delusional issue, I’m a god yeah that’s what all of us don’t have because we’re still stuck, we still have to pay our respects to the god in the air that we don’t see. It’s inconceivable that god could put somebody on the earth that could be you know god like.” said Tyson
