Jake Paul can’t help but have his name echoed in headlines since he started his professional boxing career. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has become a household name in the boxing world. Recently, Paul had a rather unexpected encounter with the former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. As the internet sensation was leaving FTX arena after watching a Miami heat game, Mayweather Jr and 20 bodyguards ambushed him. Before the escalation of the argument, Paul chose to leave the premises. As wise as that idea is in itself, it seems like Eddie Hearn is not impressed by Paul’s decision to flee from the altercation.

The promoter further discussed what he would’ve done in the same situation he said. “No fighter in that situation would run away. I am not saying it was stupid; I would do the same. Ain’t a fighter.” Even though Hearn said it jokingly, this can be considered a slight jab at ‘The Problem child.’ Hearn added that a fighter would hold their ground in such situations because that’s what they’re made of.

But Hearn also showed his respect for Paul. He said he respected Paul because he showed heart and entered the ring. It is not a secret that the Brit is not a fan of the Ohio-raised sensation, and he did not hold back from claiming that he is not a fighter crediting it as the reason for his running away. Mayweather Promotions CEO also broke his silence on the ambush recently.

Will Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather Jr ever fight?

Jake Paul has had a reputation for fighting fighters older than him, and with this ambush, a fight between the duo is not off the table. Paul has even called out the former five-division champ for a one-on-one fight, which would be a real fight and not like any of Mayweather’s exhibition fights. Mayweather has not yet replied to Paul’s offer, but the fans can expect a potential fight between the duo.
