Despite these accolades, Edwards did not shy away from calling ‘Chocolatito’ out in a recent interview and claimed that the two have discussed the possibility of a fight. “If Roman Gonzalez comes. I messaged him. He put like a message on Twitter, and I said, look, you call the shots. If you still want to fight me next. Let’s go. No one else was in my mind.” His response to the defeat and overall outlook has been laudable. Safe to say, he has been a champion inside and outside the ring. Edwards reflects on his loss

According to Edwards, there are no excuses for his first defeat. If anything, he applauded, ‘Bam’ for being adaptable and putting on a formidable performance to get the win. In addition, He unveiled that he did not foresee him losing. Reflecting along these lines, he stated, “Credit to Bam and his team, I think it’s a great performance. So a little bit, it’s unfortunate on my side for how things happened when they happened. But, you know the best fighters adapt and you know Bam came away on the win tonight.”
