Mike Tyson is back in his gladiatorial mode. But why? Well, he has a boxing match against an opponent who is thirty-one years younger than him, Jake Paul. ‘Iron Mike’ will be facing the ‘Problem Child’ on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Many boxing analysts and commentators have expressed concern for Mike Tyson’s health ahead of his upcoming fight due to his old age, but that won’t be stopping the 58-year-old from taking on the challenge. He is already preparing for Jake Paul’s “wake” and can’t wait to trade fists with the former Disney star.

Ahead of the showdown, Mike Tyson, in an interview with Cam’ron and Mase on the Come And Talk 2 Me podcast, talked about his upcoming opponent. Cam’ron started off the conversation about Tyson’s upcoming bout by stating that Paul hadn’t faced a lot of professional boxers in his career. He highlighted that a lot of Paul’s opponents were former UFC fighters and a basketball player. On that note, the rapper asked Mike Tyson — “what do you think when you look at him of his boxing skills?”

In response, Tyson highlighted that he was the one who started Jake Paul off on his journey in professional boxing. “I started him off okay, I started Jake. I let him fight on my undercard.” Notably, Jake Paul fought former NBA star Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. which took place on November 29, 2020, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It was Jake’s second professional fight, and his devastating knockout win against Robinson went viral on the internet quickly earning him notoriety.

Mike Tyson then declared that he would be the one who finishes Jake Paul’s professional career. A loss against Tyson would mean that the Ohio native will have to kiss goodbye to his dream of becoming a world champion. “No one knew who the hell he was, okay. So I started him and most likely looks like I’m going to finish him,” he stated menacingly.

Meanwhile, in the New York press conference for their upcoming bout, Tyson showed no respect for the 27-year-old fighter.

Is the old Mike Tyson back?

It looked like a rewind of the old Mike Tyson days as he faced off against Jake Paul at the New York press conference ahead of the fight. There seemed to be no fear in ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ as he playfully punched Jake Paul in the chest. Fortunately, for the social media star, Tyson’s punch lacked any sting. If that wasn’t enough Tyson also shoved him. Meanwhile, Jake also returned the favor by shoving Tyson.

Meanwhile, during the press conference, Mike showed no mental fragility as he predicted to knock out Jake Paul. “Because I can. Who else can do it but me? Who else is he going to fight to make this happen? We’ve just got to listen to the facts. We’ve got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter that ever lived. . . .” Tyson stated confidently.

The fight was initially scheduled to happen on July 20 but was delayed due to Tyson’s mid-flight medical emergency. During the press event, ‘Iron Mike’ cleared the air that he was in a fine physical state, and had already resumed training for the fight.
