The official confirmation of Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant for all four super-middleweight titles has allured many to believe that ‘Sweethands’ can bring misfortune for Alvarez’s impeccable run. However, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. has full faith in his fellow countryman. Often dubbed as ‘the Greatest Mexican boxer’, Chavez Sr. comfortably predicted an Alvarez win.

‘JC’ expressed his respect for Caleb Plant. However, he didn’t pose any favor to the American star for the upcoming in-ring affair. The veteran boxer connected with Little Giant Boxing and provided his honest opinion on the super middleweight title unification clash between Plant and Alvarez.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. said, “It’s a fight that will be complicated the first few rounds. But I think Canelo will impose his boxing skills. His strength and he’s gonna end the night winning. I don’t know if by decision or KO but Canelo will win.”

“I have seen Caleb Plant fight. He is a good fighter. But he is not a fighter that can beat Canelo [Alvarez]. I think Canelo is in his prime right now. Nobody beats him! Canelo is gonna retain all his titles.”

The official declaration isn’t out yet. However, both sides seem to have agreed on the deal and can lock horns by the end of this year.
