But the recent talk of SHOWTIME’s president Stephen Espinoza made new revelations. He highlighted the fact that it was a deal with Mayweather Promotions and they have paid them, so it becomes a liability of Mayweather Promotions to distribute it to the fighters.

Espinoza said, “We haven’t really got in the middle of it. You know our deal with Mayweather promotions and then maybe their promotions disperse the money. You know, obviously, we deal with one of the promoters. We don’t have separate deals with each of them. So I can only go by what point says yes there’s some delay in pay-per-view. I mean, there’s just a pretty significant chunk of money that you know is just going out now. So whether it’s that I’d be surprised if that wasn’t. I think It’s just a misunderstanding about how long it takes the money to get out sometimes .”

Furthermore, Espinoza told the entire process of his broadcasting network. According to him, it’s very rare to sign a deal with each fighter’s promoter. Moreover, it’s the duty of the promoter to split the money once they get PPV after expenses.
