British boxer Billy Joe Saunders has already achieved world titles in both the middleweight and super-middleweight divisions and made a name for himself in the sport. However, his peak moment came when he fought undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez back in 2021. In their fight, Saunders suffered multiple fractures to his eye socket, leading to a stoppage and defeat. Despite the setback, Saunders showcased his resilience and determination throughout the bout.
Although Saunders lost to Alvarez when the stakes were at the highest, the 33-year-old is far from done in his professional career. Motivated by the desire to become a three-time world champion, Saunders has resumed training and entered discussions with potential opponents for his comeback fight.

Should Saunders decide to pursue a third division title, he may have to contend with formidable opponents such as Dmitry Bivol or Artur Beterbiev, the current holders of all the belts in the light heavyweight division. However, if he opts to return to the super-middleweight division, the man to beat remains Canelo Alvarez, the skilled and reigning champion in the weight category.
