Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is remembered as a force to be reckoned with. This notoriety has also helped ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet’ have most things go his way. But it seems like he’s been having a hard time burying the skeletons of his viral airplane incident. Tyson recently opened up about the incident and dealing with rabble-rousers.

Tyson was recently a guest at ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored‘. During the interview, the host Piers Morgan chose to delve into this ‘annoy a formidable heavyweight challenge’ gone wrong. He showed Tyson a video of the incident as a recap, and the then duo proceeded to talk about the same.

In conversation, Morgan mentioned that people would think twice before trying to annoy Tyson on a plane now. Tyson responded by saying, “No, that guy was just being irritating really. [Tyson’s wife, Lakiha Spicer, reminds him that the passenger attacked him with a water bottle] And, yes he hit me with a water bottle, that my wife reminded me of.”

Morgan nodded in agreement, while also mentioning that the passenger’s behavior was out of line. He further proceeded to ask Tyson if he faces such incendiary individuals on a regular basis. In response, Tyson said, “Out of 10 people, I may get one.”

This piqued Morgan’s interest, prompting him to ask Tyson how many such people were at the receiving end of his fury. Tyson replied, “Quite a few. But I may only have to put my hands on one.”

Tyson also hilariously added that he can’t react as he used to anymore, as his wife gets angry at him.

What was the viral airplane incident involving Mike Tyson?

It is sure worth mentioning that it takes a Gargantuan amount of courage and an equal amount (if not more) of stupidity to get on Mike Tyson’s nerves. An overzealous fan learned the hard way why annoying ‘Iron’ Mike is a bad, bad idea.

In April 2022, Tyson was on his way from the San Francisco International Airport to Florida on a JetBlue aircraft. An over-excited passenger, who was seated behind Tyson, kept annoying him while also trying to start a conversation with him.

Tyson, on the other hand, asked the passenger to calm down and respect his privacy. The passenger even went on to attack him with a water bottle. This was when Tyson took matters into his own hands and did what he did best- Dish out a brutal dose of iron-fisted retaliation.

While Tyson was initially in trouble with the law for the incident, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s office later mentioned that they would not be pursuing the charges any further.
