De La Hoya has now spoken about Garcia’s personality. Fight Hub TV caught up with the promoter, and he said he loved his desire to make the big fights, and his ambition to take on the best. However, he said, Garcia needs to understand the work that goes into it.

De La Hoya then added, “When fighters like Manny Pacquiao are busy, they have their other plans, it’s hard to make these fights because they have a promoter, they’re tied in with a network, you know. It’s really hard to make these fights, so he has to have patience.”
