On the one hand, Oscar De La Hoya has Ryan Garcia, and on the other, Jaime Munguia. One is failing to secure his next opponent, while the other just came off a splendid victory over England’s John Ryder. On the same note, the head of Golden Boy Promotions has crowned Munguia the best in the world title after his victory. However, Munguia isn’t the first Mexican boxer De La Hoya has dealt with.
In the past, Golden Boy Promotions worked with the Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez! However, much like De La Hoya’s current relationship with Garcia, his partnership with Canelo was marred by a lawsuit and eventually came to an end. Yet, De La Hoya’s relations with Munguia seemed more than perfect as he turned to his Instagram stories today to crown the Tijuana resident!
