To which he replied, “It’s a long, long, long story. You know, there were certain powerhouses and players who were against us at golden boy. I mean, we’ve had many, many enemies man, I’ve been fighting people left and right. Promoting is a tough business, and when they want to take you down, it’s a tough business to be in. But we survived it, we had to sign the contracts and let them go. I really can’t get into details of what exactly happened, but you know it was a very unfortunate situation for us.”
The promoter explained that there were people against him and Alvarez, which led to the split up, among other things. But, he showed a bit of grief and disappointment on the subject, which denotes that he is not happy with what happened.
