De La Hoya broke the news at the Jake Paul-Ben Askren press conference, and Marc Raimondi from ESPN was the first to reveal the details. He claimed Triller CEO Ryan Kavanaugh is good friends with De La Hoya, and the pair are working towards a return for the champion on July 3.

Moreover, he reported that they are looking for a ‘Big’ UFC name for the former champion’s comeback. Raimondi also revealed that the possible venue for the bout would be the famous AT&T Stadium in Texas (home of the Dallas Cowboys). He also included that De La Hoya has a multi-fight deal with Triller, and thus, it would not be a one-off bout for the former champion.
