He was scheduled to fight Michael Williams Jr. last month, but the latter had to pull out due to a jaw injury. But now, Broner is ready for his comeback into the ring this year, and he received a heartwarming message from someone special. In an interview, Oscar De la Hoya discussed his thoughts about Adrien Broner and delivered a warm message for the champ’s comeback in the ring.

Oscar De La Hoya’s message for Adrien Broner

In an interview with ESNEWS, the former six-division world champion talked about Broner’s struggles and his comeback. He said, “One thing about Adrien Broner, I promoted him from the start, and I’ve always said that this kid is special.” He further added, “Adrien Broner is a special fighter.”

‘The Golden Boy’ went on to discuss what he feels for Broner. He said, “He loves to be real, He loves to be authentic, and what I feel about Adrien Broner is a lot of love. Cuz I know what he’s been through. I know what he’s going through. I know the demons that are within.” Oscar De La Hoya also explained how happy he is to see Broner back in the ring training and doing something he truly loves.

Broner is eyeing stepping back into the ring after almost two years. As Williams Jr. pulled out from the fight, the next opponent has not been announced for the former four-division world champion. The fans can expect to see Broner inside the ring and at his best. Interestingly, De La Hoya also made a delectable offer to Broner after the champ cut ties with BLK Prime.

Broner’s battle against mental health issues

Adrien Broner has been open about his struggles with mental health. ‘The Problem’ pulled out from his 2022 fight against Omar Figueroa Jr. reportedly due to mental health issues. But the champ seems to be in great shape now and is ready to tighten his gloves again for his fans. Broner has depicted his true fighting spirit in his battle against mental health issues and is a source of motivation for fans who look up to him.
