The former five-weight division champion, Floyd Mayweather, was undoubtedly the biggest draw in the sport of boxing. ‘The Pretty Boy’ did record sale on pay-per-view and retired as the richest boxer in the history of sport. Among the biggest paydays, Mayweather stands tall above all. However, it was not something that came to him because he was very good at his art.

What did Floyd Mayweather say?

Floyd Mayweather gave the example of his protege, Gervonta Davis, who is among the biggest pay-per-view stars in the USA, and put forth the reasonability that took him to the pinnacle.

He said, “There’s not a better team to be with than Floyd Mayweather and Al Haymon. There’s not a better team to be with and they’d be like well we can just be without. Well, you could do all but guess what you need both if you want to do record-breaking numbers you need both.”

“That’s the reason why you look at Tank’s career. Tank is with both, so once again, like I said before, I know what I’m doing and what are you doing and we got a relationship that can’t be broken,” Davis added.

Notably, Al Haymon is not famous, but a very influential name in the business of boxing. He is known for closing some of the biggest deals in the sport. Earlier, he was the manager of Mayweather.
