Wilder is in search of new opportunities
Michael Benson, in a tweet, announced that Wilder is now becoming a free agent. According to him, the former champion said, “No bad blood. I’m still part of PBC. I’m just an open agent, open fighter. I want to fight on all types of platforms, I’m willing to work with anyone.”
There are many opportunities the boxer can look into. From signing with new promotions or staying an open agent, there are numerous options for the 37-year-old. He has yet to make a further statement about his next fight and move. He fought last year, knocking out Robert Helenius in the first round, in an impressive fashion.

Wilder has shown his interest in trying out other verticals of combat sports. He even made a rather odd offer to Ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou for 2 fights, one in the ring and the other in the octagon. But, ‘The Predator ‘ is yet to reply to this offer.
Fans share their views on Wilder’s decision
Reactions worldwide have been pouring in on Wilder’s announcement. Jeff thinks that this is a route every fighter should choose. This would reduce the hiccups faced in the finalization of a fight and will eventually be fruitful for the fighter.
This is the route all fighters should go. If they wanna have Haymon as an advisor, fine, but keep the possibility of fighting on any network an option. Would cure alot of the issues we see with fights not getting made. Highest bidding broadcaster gets the fight.

Darren is happy that Wilder realized his promotions were mismanaging him. Further, he is willing to bet Wilder won’t want to sign with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom or Dazn.
I'd bet he don't want DAZN or Eddie. At least now Wilder realises he's been mismanaged, good on him

KronkStyleKO took a dig at the Premier Boxing champion and said they’re losing their fighter and cannot announce fights for their fighters like Gervonta Davis and others. He further said that it’s not looking good for them.
Wow. PBC out here losing fighters and not able announce dates for most of their top fighters. Tank, Spence, Thurman, Jermall Charlo. The list goes on. Mayweather Promo has no marquee fighters. Not looking good for most of those cats.
