Alycia Baumgardner is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Christina Linardatou. But in a recent tweet, the Fremont native celebrated the exact moment she became the world champion. Back in November 2021, the female super featherweight champion took on the then-super-featherweight world champion Terri Harper. It was a night to remember, as Baumgardner took home the win via a fourth-round technical knockout, thereby winning the WBC and IBO female super featherweight titles. 

Moreover, after defeating Linardatou in July earlier this year, the 15-1 champ achieved another milestone. She became the elusive, alluring, and coveted undisputed champion of the world. Celebrating this achievement, the Detroit resident turned to X (formerly Twitter), sharing a clip from her stoppage victory over Harper. And the crowd went wild! As the post started circulating on the platform, fans quickly joined Baumgardner to cherish the moment.

Since the clip was uploaded to X, it has garnered over 100K views, more than 2K hearts, and a plethora of comments. While the majority of the remarks praised the undisputed queen, others proposed a challenge. One user wanted to see Baumgardner fight undefeated Claressa Shields.

Another user questioned why Harper froze after the shot in the face.

Someone commended Baumgardner’s punch while describing Harper’s situation.

The next user recalled when he and his wife were engrossed in watching the fight. He gave the Baumgardner a 50/50 chance of winning. But his wife was confident about Baumgardner’s win over Harper.

One user labeled Baumgardner’s punch the “perfect right hand” while claiming they knew the shot would end the fight as soon as it landed.

While Baumgardner is gathering praise from the public on X, a recent update from Sportstar reveals failed doping test results.

Baumgardner’s doping test – ‘adverse’ finding

After her last fight with Linardatou, Baumgardner received an ‘adverse analytical finding’ from a doping test held for the fight. Matchroom Boxing, her promoter, came out with the findings and confirmed that a full investigation is underway.

Moreover, all regulatory bodies were informed about the findings, and Matchroom Boxing is awaiting guidance from them to move forward with their actions. Baumgardner recently came out, denying any wrongdoings regarding the results while expressing surprise with it. She further emphasized her commitment to ethical practices throughout her career.
