Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin is one of boxing’s best athletes. At 39, the two-time world champion has shown no signs of slowing down. However, famous combat sports presenter Joe Rogan has questioned his incredible shape.

Joe Rogan, who is famous for being an outspoken host, does not shy away from expressing his opinions. Very often this gets the American into a lot of trouble. And this time, he may get some backlash from Golovkin’s camp, as he has questioned the Kazakh for using performance-enhancing drugs.

Rogan spoke to Russell Peters on an episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and addressed Golovkin’s last fight. The UFC commentator said, “I don’t think it’s quite a year. Because I was in Texas, I watched it in Texas.”

Rogan then added, “But he looked f***ing good dude, he not only looked good, he looked ripped. So I was like, ‘hmm, piss test please’. Because he’s like 38… and looked as good as he’s ever looked… Phenomenal!”

Rogan showed his doubt over ‘GGG’ and his incredible shape at 39. However, it also revealed the presenter’s opinions on his last fight. Clearly, the JRE host believes ‘Triple G’ can cut it at the top.

Alvarez has shown his superiority by taking on the best in the super-middleweight division. Moreover, since the last time ‘Triple G’ fought, Alvarez has fought twice. Thus, despite Golovkin’s fitness, Alvarez is in better shape.

Furthermore, the P4P star is on course to become undisputed and has already revealed his next move. Therefore, even if Golovkin is ready according to Rogan, it is highly unlikely that we will see the trilogy this year.
