Well, the American tennis player squared off against Japan’s Kei Nishikori, ranked No 350, on May 29 when Nishikori retired from the game because of an injury, clearing the way for the American to move into the third round of Roland-Garros. However, in the meantime, Shelton seems to have secured the fastest serve in the tournament.

On May 31, the official Instagram account of the French Open/Roland-Garros shared the update with their followers. They wrote, “Ben Shelton headlines our Stat of the day by @infosys”, adding that Shelton threw a serve at a staggering 227 km/hour against his Japanese opponent in the second round of their match on Thursday.

Seeing this unbelievable accomplishment, Tyson’s daughter quickly took her Instagram account to share a story, expressing her reaction with just a single word, “Unreal”. Despite growing up around one of the biggest names in boxing, Milan’s interests inclined more towards the sport of tennis, rather than the sweet science, which is especially evident because of her match against none other than tennis legend Novak Djokovic

All the way back in 2018, Milan Tyson showcased her innate talent for tennis, stepping onto the court at the tender age of nine to face off against none other than Djokovic himself. If that wasn’t enough, the kin to the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ schooled ‘Djoker’ in his own court by scoring points on two different occasions.

The duo engaged in a friendly match in March 2018 at the Indian Wells Masters tournament in California. According to a report from TMZ, Djokovic approached the then 9-year-old with the proposition for a match, leaving her shocked yet thankful for the opportunity. Reacting to Djokovic’s generous actions, Mike Tyson later wrote on X, “You are the realest. Thanks for hitting with my daughter #milantyson. You are her tennis idol.”
