Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis are not exactly on the best terms. The two keep going back and forth at each other on Twitter. Since ‘Tank’ is Mayweather’s protege, they share a common hatred for the Mexican American ‘KingRy’. Immediately after his fight against Isaac Cruz, Davis got a couple of call-outs from the top dogs of his division.

One of these call-outs came from Oscar De La Hoya, who was less than impressed by seeing Davis’ performance. De La Hoya took to his Twitter to say, “@RyanGarcia you will destroy!” indicating that Garcia would destroy ‘Tank’.

During the post-fight press conference, both Mayweather and Davis berated Garcia in front of the world’s media, calling him a ‘Pretty Girl’ and a ‘YouTuber’.
Ryan Garcia responded to their comments on his Twitter.
“Never offered me anything, typical mayweather games. I know you like to beat on “pretty girls” but this one going to beat your a** back.”

‘KingRy’ is currently recovering from an injury that required him to undergo surgery on his hand. He had to pull out of his fight against Jojo Diaz and is currently resting.

Garcia is eager to get back into the ring and prove that he is not just all talk. The 21-0 fighter will look to add some belts to his resume and cement himself as a legit fighter, and not a ‘YouTuber’. This is why he wants to take on Davis, who is currently the top dog of the division.

During the post-fight press conference, when one of the interviewers brought up Ryan Garcia’s name, Floyd Mayweather responded.
“Ya’ll talking about, scared Ryan Garcia. Tank got his followers from kicking a**. Ryan Garcia got his followers from YouTubers. There’s a difference. So you wanna be a YouTuber or you wanna be a fighter. Tank is a fighter.”
