Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn slammed Mairis Briedis. The IBF cruiserweight champion of the world thought it would be a good idea to call out Jake Paul. However, the method he used to call ‘The Problem Child’ out was very bizarre. Briedis made a tattoo with Jake Paul’s name on it.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn shared his reaction to the tattoo during an interview with IFL TV on YouTube. “And Briedis is walking around like an, I mean, what is Briedis doing? Briedis is embarrassing. Like Briedis is getting tattoos of Jake Paul on his leg and calling him out to fight. What is he doing?”
“He’s got a unification there against Lawrence Okolie. I know he’s got a mandatory. I mean, the guy is embarrassing. Great fighter, by the way, brilliant fighter,” Hearn said.

Mairis Briedis is an exceptional boxer with a formidable record. ‘The Latvian Punisher’, who boasts of an impressive 28-1-0 record in the ring, suffered his only defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

Hearn himself admitted Briedis is a great fighter. “A world champion Cruiserweight calling out Jake Paul and getting a tattoo saying something like Karma Jake.”
“I mean, whether the tattoo is real or not, what? And I like Mairis Briedis. He’s a brilliant fighter, but mate, come on, get real, go fight Lawrence Okolie.” Hearn said.

Mairis Briedis will first look to make his mandatory title defense before anything. Jake Paul, on the other hand, is actively searching for his next opponent.
