The news of the WBC providing the 6-year-old with recognition came via ESPN Ringside. A photograph captured sees the young boy holding the iconic WBC gold and green strap. Moreover, he is seen to be healing from the wounds he suffered during the altercation involving his sister.

Bridger Walker and the WBC stamp of recognition
The incident in question saw Bridger Walker intervene when a dog attacked his 4-year old sister in a brutal encounter. He managed to save his sibling but sustained serious damage in the process which led to 90 stitches. Additionally, he had to undergo a non-elective surgery that lasted for 2 hours.

Walker has become a household name following the incident and his profile was further bolstered by comments he made. Following the attack, he responded to his father who asked him why he jumped in to save his sister. His response has endeared him further to the world who keenly watches on.
