The unified Heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, and the WBC Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, are two of the biggest names in the Heavyweight division. The duo is currently in talks to face each other for an undisputed showdown. Meanwhile, Fury has been constantly taking digs at Usyk since the announcement of the potential matchup. The latest bone of contention happens to be a rematch clause for the fight. And, Usyk took to social media to address the issue after Fury called him out.

In a video posted on Twitter, Fury recently spoke about “upping the stakes” and doing away with the rematch clause. He said, “I’ve been speaking to the lawyers. And Usyk’s people have been talking about rematch clauses. Here’s one to up the ante. How about there is no rematch clause for both of us? Let’s up the ante completely.”

Moreover, Fury asked Usyk to focus on the fight. Rather than worry about the future. Usyk, on the other hand, was not too happy with Fury’s statements. He released a video stating that the rematch clause was proposed from Fury’s side.

Usyk further asked him to either sign the contract or vacate the belt. While also accusing him of playing “stupid games”.

Boxing fans were in agreement with Usyk’s statements about the rematch clause. In fact, a lot of them were also quick to extend their support after he refuted Fury’s claims.
