Fresh off a comprehensive victory against Kell Brook, Terence Crawford has laid into his promoter Bob Arum. The undefeated pound-for-pound star did not hold back while addressing Arum’s comments on his fight.

Arum made a few controversial statements after the main-event that angered a lot of fans, and now ‘Bud’ has had his say on the whole issue.

Speaking to the AK and BARAK Show on SiriusXM, Crawford was asked about those comments. The 33-year-old said, “That’s cool… That’s cool, if that’s what he said then, that’s cool. Personally, if he feels that way, he can release me now. He can just release me. If you feel like you don’t… or I’m not an asset to your company, you release me right now.”

The champion did not just stop there. He also said, “You don’t have to wait till after the Spence fight. Why do you have to wait till after the Spence fight? Release me now and you don’t have to lose any money no more. If I’m such a loss, a headache….”

‘Bud’s’ suggestion indicates that he is disappointed by his promoter’s comments

Crawford also spoke about that potential Spence Jr fight. He said, “It’s not that important. I keep telling everybody It’s not that important. I don’t, I don’t need Errol Spence for my legacy. Don’t know why people tryna make it seem like I need Errol Spence. He needs me. I don’t need him.”

As things stand, as much as the fans want that fight to happen, it will be difficult to make. Crawford has clearly stated his opinion on making that fight; Spence has previously said he is willing to fight Crawford.

However, the 33-year-old’s latest tweet suggests the dream clash may not happen.

One could suspect that he is referring to the Spence fight since the Athletic reported that Spence was 60-40 share for that fight. These things complicate the sport of boxing and prevent fights from happening. This is one fight that fans want to see; however, it seems like it won’t happen anytime soon. Who do you think would come out on top if the two were to meet?
