A couple of days back, a piece of news broke out regarding Anthony Joshua that he is willing to step aside for the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk clash. The entire fight fraternity followed this matter until Joshua himself came up with a video clarifying that he isn’t stepping aside by any means.

The entire controversy popped up with Gareth Davies covering a story on this incident first. That said, Joshua came up with a scathing response to the entire scenario and now Davies has fired back at the ex-heavyweight champ.

Speaking on talkSPORT boxing, he said, “He said I haven’t seen the contract, he said I haven’t signed it. But not once in that response, that video response did he say, I am definitely fighting Oleksandr Usyk next and I’m definitely exercising the rematch clause. He didn’t say it nor, indeed, has he announced his training team.”

Last year, Anthony Joshua suffered a terrifying UD loss to Oleksandr Usyk. This was his second pro-boxing loss and nothing went right for him in this bout. Since then, Joshua remained in the news for his rematch with Usyk. Also, a few months ago, it was reported that ‘AJ’ triggered his rematch clause to confront ‘The Cat’.

But nothing concrete pertaining to the rematch, including its date and location, came into the news by Joshua’s team. Also, Usyk‘s team is keen to go for the undisputed war against Tyson Fury.

But the ball seems to be in Joshua‘s court for now and he won’t let this rematch go out of his hands.

What did Anthony Joshua comment on the step-aside situation?

In a video surfacing on the internet, ‘AJ’ added, “I ain’t seen no contract. So as it stands, stop listening to the bulls**t until it comes from me. I am the man in control of my destiny, I am the man that handles my business. I’m a smart individual and I make calculated decisions every step of the way. Don’t listen to the bulls**t from other sources.”

Joshua doesn’t seem to budge from his intention, i.e. of squaring off with Usyk again.

However, fans are curious to hear out on this potential rematch from ‘AJ’ himself. The coming few days will determine if this fight is happening.
