Following a long-lasting bitter feud, Oscar De La Hoya now wants to end all his differences with Canelo Alvarez on a good note. Alvarez, who will headline the night under the Matchroom Promotions, looks favorable to become the first-ever undisputed super middleweight champion in boxing history. If not for his dispute with De La Hoya, Canelo Alvarez could have appeared from the Golden Boy family.

However, things fell off after Alvarez filed a lawsuit against Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN in 2020. He accused Oscar De La Hoya of underpaying him and split ways with the promoter. It became vile after both sides exchanged verbal heat on social media.

Meanwhile, De La Hoya also announced his in-return against Vitor Belfort, to resurrect himself for a professional scrap against Canelo Alvarez. He vowed to outclass the P4P king in the ring. Unfortunately, he contracted Covid-19 and pulled out from his scheduled bout against Belfort.

On full recovery, he has reflected certain changes in his opinion. Oscar De La Hoya now appears delighted with Alvarez once again and is in total support of the Mexican star, ahead of his career-defining fight against ‘Sweethands’ Caleb Plant.

It validates him to explore other promotions. So, De La Hoya is trying his best to bag Alvarez.
