Alvarez, who will headline the night under the Matchroom Promotions, looks favorable to become the first-ever undisputed super middleweight champion in boxing history. If not for his dispute with De La Hoya, Canelo Alvarez could have appeared from the Golden Boy family.

On full recovery, he has reflected certain changes in his opinion. Oscar De La Hoya now appears delighted with Alvarez once again and is in total support of the Mexican star, ahead of his career-defining fight against ‘Sweethands’ Caleb Plant.

As they now appear to be lacking a prime face in their roster, De La Hoya can re-shift his focus on Canelo Alvarez. The WBC, WBO, and WBA super-middleweight champion is working with Eddie Hearn on a fight-to-fight basis.
