A few days back, Triller made headlines when they rolled out the Vitor Belfort vs Evander Holyfield boxing event. Earlier, Belfort was supposed to fight Oscar De La Hoya and a fight between these two was set for a long time. However, the former boxing icon tested positive for Covid-19 and he had to withdraw from this fight.

As a result, Holyfield offered to step in on short notice and Triller allowed him to take on Belfort in an exhibition bout. Unfortunately, the main event turned out to be tragic as Holyfield looked extremely slow and gassed out from the first bell itself.

Belfort took advantage of the same and he smothered the 58-year-old with his power. However, no one enjoyed what they saw in the ring. Consequently, Triller faced an immense backlash from fans and fighters around the globe for letting Holyfield take on this fight.

Citing that, Triller is now again looking to book Belfort’s clash with Oscar De La Hoya. Here, Triller will look to stage this fight for the Thanksgiving weekend, wherein they’d offer ‘ Golden Boy’ a chance to seek revenge from ‘The Phenom’ for defeating Holyfield.

After his win over ‘The Real Deal’, Belfort called out ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul for a fight. Despite that, it seems like it will be De La Hoya who will share the ring with ‘The Phenom’.

‘Golden Boy’ signed off from boxing in 2008, but he’s kept himself highly active with his fitness activities and more. That said, he will surely be a much more of a threat to Belfort than Evander Holyfield was.
