“Rest in Peace, Champ”: 22-Year-Old Ukrainian Boxer Dies While Serving His Country; Fans Left Heartbroken

Maksym Galinichev, a 22-year-old Ukrainian boxer, and European Youth boxing champion, tragically passed while serving his country in the Luhansk region. The news was revealed by IdBoxing who posted a tribute to the late boxer on their Twitter account. Moreover, the post confirmed that he was serving in the Luhansk region, which has been the site of the ongoing conflict between Ukrainian and Russia.
“European Youth boxing champion Maksym Galinichev has died at the age of 22 while defending Ukraine in the Luhansk region. Rest in peace, Maksym” the post read.
This was not all as many fans gathered to pay their condolences to Galinichev as they reacted to his news.
