Ricky Hatton’s Son, Campbell Hatton, Signs Management Deal With Anthony Joshua’s Promotional Company

Famous British boxer Ricky Hatton’s son, Campbell Hatton, has taken the first step to follow in his father’s footsteps. He has now signed a deal with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s management company 258MGT ahead of his debut.

The 19-year-old will make his debut on March 6 on the Dillian Whyte vs. Alexander Povetkin card. It will be a Matchroom Boxing event live on DAZN, which represents Anthony Joshua. Therefore, Hatton is already seeing the benefits of his union.

Joshua’s management company 258MGT announced the news on their Twitter. They said that the signing of the young fighter delighted them. The signing is also a big step forward for the promotional company. They have slowly constructed their roster with quality boxers who represent their principles.

Campbell himself issued a statement on his Twitter after the news broke out. He wrote, “Proud to have signed with @258mgt and @SoapBoxLondon, massive year ahead.” 

Now all that’s left for Hatton to do is try to follow in the footsteps of his father in the ring.

Anthony Joshua welcomes Campbell Hatton to the 258 team

Heavyweight champion and co-owner of the promotional company Anthony Joshua took to his social media to welcome Hatton. With his tweet, Joshua reassured Hatton of his support. Moreover, on a personal note, ‘AJ’ will be pleased that they can attract talent ahead of the big promoters.

 Ahead of his debut on March 6, on the Whyte-Povetkin card, Campbell Hatton will have a lot of expectations on his shoulders. His father was a two-division world champion, having held multiple titles. Moreover, he was a nation-wide hero among British boxing fans.

Thus, it will be intriguing to see if his son has inherited any of his skills and talent. The 19-year-old does not have an opponent yet; however, if he can register an impressive performance, it would be a fantastic occasion for himself and the promotion company.
