Recently, lightweight star, Rolando Romero, spoke on the same while he was in a conversation with FightHype.

He said, “I’ll be honest with you. I mean, it looked like Caleb was looking for some kind of acceptance from Canelo. And Canelo just ignored him like walking apart. I mean honestly, if you’re over there talking about like ‘oh that’ oh you’re respecting each other, they’re not stuff in the middle of the fight but why you do that s*** at most after the fight.”

The duo had an extensive rivalry prior to this fight, which eventually made this contest even more intriguing. But post the fight, both Alvarez and Plant hugged each other to strike off their beef.

In this fight, many expected Alvarez to smother Plant easily. However, ‘Sweethands’ didn’t make this easy for Alvarez, and he gave it his all to keep this fight leveled.
