Rolly Romero is back at it. After predicting a clean knockout win over Gervonta Davis on December 5 and smashing a pinata with Davis’ picture, the former WBA interim has taken yet another shot at ‘Tank’.

We’ve seen Gervonta Davis prove people wrong before. This is definitely not the first time an opponent has underestimated lightweight champ on the basis of his height, reach, and size. However, Rolando Romero’s confidence in his skills and abilities is through the roof right now.

In a recent TMZ interview, Rolando Romero went off on all those doubting his chances against Gervonta Davis. He is now looking forward to knocking out the champ in December. He even shared a short and to-the-point message for his opponent – “don’t get COVID”.

Man, Imma say it like this man, Tank’s gonna get knocked the f**k out, and like I said, whoever says otherwise can go f**k themselves.

The best thing about Tank is that he is a puncher, I’m a bigger puncher and I’m a bigger person, what the f**k does he have?

“He gets tired! I punch way harder than him, ask anyone that knows us both, they’ll tell you straight up. December 5th.

Man, Imma knock him the f**k out. One round. He’s gonna run right into something because he’s stupid,” said Romero.

Is Rolly Romero underestimating ‘Tank’ Davis?

Rolly Romero believes he hits harder than Davis and is bigger than him in terms of height, size, and reach. However, is that really a problem for Floyd Mayweather’s protege?

Gervonta Davis had a tough last fight against Mario Barrios. Even though he added a new world title in a third-weight class by an 11th round stoppage against the 140 lbs champion, it was by no means an easy fight. Even though Davis landed the bigger shots and ultimately ended up dominating the fight towards the end, Mario put up a tough challenge.

Barrios used his height and reach to his advantage throughout the fight. He tried to maintain distance with his right jab without over-extending through the first four rounds. Barrios attempted to block ‘Tank’ from entering the pocket.

At one point, it seemed as if Barrios was going to secure a landslide win; however, he began parrying Barrios’ jabs in Round 5; this allowed him to close the distance, connect better and ultimately win the fight.

Despite Davis proving he knows his way around the height and reach disadvantage, Romero still believes he’ll be an easy opponent.

He truly believes in his abilities and is certain that he will knock ‘Tank’ out cold. Rolly claims that he has been chasing Davis since 2017 and now that he finally has him locked in, he is now looking to prove a point.

How do you think this fight plays out on December 5?
