Ryan Garcia did not compete often in 2021 after troubles away from the ring. Hence, he needs to compensate well for the same and remain active in 2022.

On his social media, ‘King Ry’, who engages his fans with his posts on boxing, life, and more, dropped a video where he spilled the beans on his return to the ring. The 23-year-old announced April 2022 as his return fight’s timeline.

Coming back strong. April is going to be so sweet. fight announcement coming soon!!! Who should be my return fight???” he added.

In the video, he can be seen engaging in a boxing drill where he punched the mitts and the pads. This is a sign that he is definitely ready to return to the ring and extend his unbeaten streak.

Fans often troll Garcia by calling him an ‘Internet Boxer’/’Instagram Boxer’, but the Californian never really let these comments get into his head. He took time off and surrendered his WBC interim lightweight strap, which he won against Luke Campbell.

Later, Garcia succumbed to a hand injury, and his potential November 2021 return fight was also off the cards. Given his training video, fans can rejoice as he seems in his true element to come back. More than anyone, he himself is eager to create a difference with his boxing run this time.

For now, Isaac Cruz seems to be in the picture to square off with Ryan Garcia. The lightweight suffered a defeat to Gervonta Davis in his last fight. Hence, a win here could get either party back to a title shot.

‘King Ry’ is super excited to meet Cruz in the ring and his entire team is in sync to stage this fight for him. It’ll be interesting to see if this contest comes to life on the above-mentioned timeline.
