Canelo Alvarez made his prediction for this upcoming Lightweight bout which favored Davis and not Garcia. Recently, Garcia opened up about his thoughts on Alvarez choosing Davis over him and discussed why it’s not a big deal for him.

So he might have a strong reason backing his prediction for the fight between Garcia and Davis. In a recent interview with ESNEWS, after his press conference, Garcia discussed Alvarez’s prediction for the fight.

Garcia said, “You know, I Love Canelo. I’ve picked against him before in fights. This is just our opinion, no bad blood.” He added, “If anything, it signifies that the bad blood is over when he might let me use his gloves, no boxing, no life for this fight.” Garcia wants to use gloves of No Boxing No Life, a brand owned by Eddy Reynoso, the manager and boxing coach for Canelo Alvarez.

Garcia ended the discussion by saying that he and Canelo got nothing but love for each other. The duo had a professional relationship when Garcia was training under Reynoso. Garcia will be stepping into the fight as an underdog against Davis, but that only adds to the thrill of the fight. The former two-time Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson also gave his prediction for the fight.

Garica said he left because he wasn’t getting the needed attention. As a result of this decision, Garcia faced criticism from the ‘Cinnamon,’ who even claimed that the 24-year-old was wasting his time.

Garcia has clarified that he wants no beef with Alvarez and has nothing but respect for the undisputed super-middleweight champion. Meanwhile, Alvarez hasn’t made any statements regarding this.
