Ryan Garcia Favors Luke Campbell to Beat Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis

Still fresh from the TKO win over Luke Campbell, WBC (Interim) lightweight champion, Ryan Garcia, favors the Brit to overpower Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis in a fight. Depending on the ongoing title picture and the professional records, several fans can hesitate to pick Campbell over the champions.

However, Ryan Garcia seems pretty confident while saying so. Having tested his skills against Campbell, he believes the 33-year-old can trouble several looming lightweight champions.

That said, ‘KingRy’ billed Campbell’s long-range as his prime aspect. He connected with his former opponent on Fierce Talks and opened up on several issues.’ Campbell’s capability against the other A-listed lightweights was one such issue.

“I don’t care what anybody says, this man (Luke Campbell) will beat Devin Haney. I am sorry this is just my opinion. He will beat Devin Haney, he will beat Gervonta Davis, I could care less about what anybody says. In my opinion, that’s what I feel, like they can’t keep up with this range like,” said Rya Garcia.

He added, “What’s crazy about it is, they are so good at talking. They make people believe that’s what they want.”

While Garcia continues to boast of his recent opponent, there’s a valid reason behind that as Luke Campbell became the first man to floor him. So, Garcia has received a taste of Campbell’s long-range and power.

The WBC Interim lightweight title was at stake, with Campbell and Garcia locking horns in a nail-biting main-event. Although the undefeated Ryan Garcia was a favorite, Campbell turned the tide inside the ring.

In round two, he floored Garcia with a thunderous long-range shot. It was the turning point of the fight and many had located loopholes in ‘KingRy’s game. Nevertheless, Garcia stood back and kept the show running. That said, he turned even treacherous in the latter stage and landed prominent body shots. After consuming a few, Campbell took a knee in round seven and surrendered the Interim strap.

Hence, both the contenders are aware of each other’s abilities, and Garcia’s recent statement regarding Campbell can be examined only if he ever faces Gervonta Davis or Devin Haney.
